Custom Tokens for Stardew Valley

What this mod does

Custom Tokens, by TheMightyAmondee, adds new tokens to Content Patcher so content packs can react to data the game doesn’t provide out of the box. According to Nexus, 25 mods use it. On its own it does nothing.

Available tokens

• Locations: current mine or volcano level, and the deepest floor reached in the mines, the Skull Cavern and the volcano.
• Marriage: anniversary day and season, years and days married.
• Quests: completed quests and Special Orders, including Qi’s challenges.
• Deaths and exhaustion: how many times you’ve died (including while married) and how many times you’ve passed out.
• Children: each child’s birthday, days alive and hat.

Requirements and compatibility

It requires SMAPI 4.0 or later. Content Patcher isn’t mandatory, but without it the mod is useless. Version 1.6.2 (March 9, 2025, 23 KB) adds the days married token; 1.6 compatibility arrived in 1.6.0. In split-screen, each player can have their own values.

With the AllowDebugging option turned on, the tracker console command shows the value of each token.

Requirements

• Stardew Valley 1.6.x (PC)
• SMAPI 4.0 or later
• Content Patcher
• Content packs that use it

How to install it

1. Install SMAPI and Content Patcher first (see their mod pages) and launch the game once with SMAPI to make sure everything loads.
2. Open the Custom Tokens page on Nexus Mods, go to the Files tab and click Manual download on the main file (Custom Tokens 1.6.2). You need a free Nexus account to download.
3. Unzip the .zip outside the game folder and move the resulting folder into the Mods folder, inside the game folder.
4. Launch the game with SMAPI and check in the console that Custom Tokens shows up in the list of loaded mods with no red errors.
