Wedding Tweaks for Stardew Valley

What this mod does

Wedding Tweaks, by aedenthorn, gives you more control over Stardew Valley weddings. In the base game the wedding happens three days after the proposal and always follows the same script; this mod lets you change those details.

What it lets you do

• Change the number of days between the proposal and the wedding (DaysUntilMarriage, 3 by default).
• Ask villagers you’re friends with to be wedding witnesses (from 6 hearts by default, WitnessMinHearts).
• Console commands to check, change or cancel a pending wedding.
• If you use Free Love, have your current spouses attend the ceremony.

Requirements and compatibility

It requires SMAPI. Free Love, also by aedenthorn, is only needed for the multiple-spouse features, and you can adjust the options with Generic Mod Config Menu. File 0.4.1 (August 28, 2025, 28 KB) is the 1.6 update with fixes, and SMAPI’s compatibility list doesn’t mark it as broken.

To play in Spanish, C0MODIN publishes the translation «Wedding Tweaks – Spanish» on Nexus. The page doesn’t mention multiplayer or Android, and there are two open bugs.

Requirements

• Stardew Valley 1.6.x (PC)
• SMAPI 4.x (the latest version)
• Optional: Free Love and Generic Mod Config Menu

How to install it

1. Install SMAPI first (see its page) and launch the game once with it to make sure it works.
2. Optional: install Generic Mod Config Menu to adjust the options, and Free Love if you want your current spouses to attend.
3. Open the Wedding Tweaks page on Nexus Mods, go to the Files tab and click Manual download on the main file (Wedding Tweaks 0.4.1). You need a free Nexus account to download.
4. Unzip the .zip outside the game folder and move the resulting folder into the Mods folder, inside the game folder.
5. Launch the game with SMAPI and, in the mod menu, set the days until the wedding and the witnesses' minimum hearts.
