What this mod does
Colored Map 1.50+ is a mod by Swevener that adds color to the Euro Truck Simulator 2 map from version 1.50 onward. It uses muted colors to make the map nicer to look at without being distracting, and it has over 54,000 subscribers. There’s also an ATS version.
What’s included
- Colored map for the base game and for every map DLC.
- It doesn’t need the DLCs to work: if you don’t own them, you simply don’t see them.
- It uses the same base texture as the game, so the borders line up.
- It’s flagged as an optional mod, so you can use it in Convoy if the host allows it.
Load order
Place it above other map mods in the Mod Manager.
Version
The author said in the comments that it was already compatible with 1.57 since the beta and that he’d update it if needed. It was last updated on November 12, 2025. He doesn’t mention later versions.
Known issues
One user said that in northern Scandinavia, with Nordic Horizons, they couldn’t scroll the map to see the cities; another said it worked fine for them. The author couldn’t reproduce the bug.

How to install it
- Open the mod page on Steam Workshop and click Subscribe.
- Launch ETS2 and open the Mod Manager.
- Enable Colored Map and place it above other map mods.
- Open the world map (M key) to see the colors.

Can I use it in Convoy?
