What this mod does

Google Navigation (light theme) is WILQ’s take on Google’s navigation for the Euro Truck Simulator 2 GPS, in a light theme. It’s not a Google product: it just imitates its visual style.

What it changes

  • Route color inspired by Google’s navigation.
  • Map icons redesigned in that same style.
  • A player arrow similar to Google’s.
  • SCS phone interface with a Google-inspired design, in Polish and English.
  • Black screen on the second display of the Volvo FH6 and the Iveco S-Way.

Compatibility

It works with all SCS trucks and is an optional mod, so it works in SCS multiplayer (Convoy). It’s not compatible with ProMods: for that map the author publishes a separate add-on, which as of September 20, 2026 still hadn’t been fixed for 1.61. There’s also a dark version and two road color add-ons.

Version

Version 1.5, updated on September 18, 2026, is listed in the changelog as compatible with 1.61. Version 1.3 had added 1.57 and Nordic Horizons. The author also publishes it for ATS.

Requirements

Install first: Dark version by the same author ProMods add-on

How to install it

  1. Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
  2. Wait for Steam to finish downloading.
  3. Launch ETS2 and open the Mod Manager.
  4. Enable “Google Navigation (light theme)” and confirm the changes.
  5. If you play with ProMods, also subscribe to the ProMods add-on linked by the author.

Is it an official Google mod?

No: it's the author's take on the style of Google's navigation.

Does it work with ProMods?

Not directly: it needs the author's ProMods add-on, which as of September 20, 2026 still hadn't been fixed for 1.61.

Is there a dark version?

Yes, the author publishes it separately, just like the ATS versions.

Can I use it in Convoy?

Yes: it's an optional mod and the author states it supports SCS multiplayer.
