Better Shipping Bin for Stardew Valley

What this mod does

Better Shipping Bin, by MindMeltMax, replaces the shipping bin menu with one similar to a chest’s. That way you can see everything you’ve put in during the day and take out anything you dropped in by mistake before it sells overnight.

What it adds

• A menu that grows as you ship more items.
• Take back single items or whole stacks as long as they haven’t sold.
• Shortcuts: Shift + left-click to move a whole stack, and Shift + right-click or Ctrl + Shift + right-click to move 5 or 25 units.
• A label with the total value of what you’ve shipped, details on hover, and compatibility with the large backpack and with Lookup Anything.

Requirements and compatibility

It only requires SMAPI. Version 1.4.8 (July 29, 2025, 25 KB) fixes the menu opening when it shouldn’t; 1.4.0 rewrote the menu for 1.6. 1.4.5 added a Spanish translation, along with Chinese and French. There are no open bugs on Nexus.

For mobile there’s a separate file (1.3.1), predating 1.6, in the miscellaneous files section. The page doesn’t mention multiplayer.

Requirements

• Stardew Valley 1.6.x (PC)
• SMAPI 4.x (the latest version)

How to install it

1. Install SMAPI first (see its page) and launch the game once with it to make sure it works.
2. Open the Better Shipping Bin page on Nexus Mods, go to the Files tab and click Manual download on the main file (Better Shipping Bin 1.4.8). You need a free Nexus account to download.
3. Unzip the .zip outside the game folder and move the resulting folder into the Mods folder, inside the game folder.
4. Launch the game with SMAPI, put something in the shipping bin and open it again: you'll see the new menu with what you've shipped.
