What this mod does
Stardew Notifications is an alerts mod for anyone who forgets the important things each day. Every morning, and at certain times during the day, it shows on-screen notifications about what’s worth taking care of.
What it alerts you to
- Villagers’ birthdays, with a gift reminder at a configurable time (5:00 PM by default).
- Festival days, Traveling Cart visits and new episodes of The Queen of Sauce.
- Tools ready at Clint’s blacksmith shop and days with very good luck.
- Berry season, items in the farm cave and machines with output ready on the farm and in sheds.
- Since 1.8.19, Ginger Island weather too.
Compatibility
Version 1.8.12 updated it to Stardew Valley 1.6 and SMAPI 4.0, and the current file is 1.8.19 (March 29, 2024, 51 KB). It’s tagged as compatible with 1.6 and Android. The page doesn’t mention multiplayer or an in-game config menu.
The original mod is by monopandora, under the MIT license, and it’s maintained by Sakorona, who updated it for new versions of the game. There’s a separate Spanish translation on Nexus by NebulosoCat. It pairs well with UI Info Suite 2, which shows some of this information with icons.

Requirements
- Stardew Valley 1.6.x (PC; tagged as Android-compatible)
- SMAPI 4.0 or later
How to install it
- Install SMAPI first (see its mod page) and launch the game once with it to make sure it works.
- Open the Stardew Notifications page on Nexus Mods, go to the Files tab and click Manual download on the main file (Stardew Notifications 1.8.19). You need a free Nexus account to download.
- Extract the .zip outside the game folder and move the resulting folder into the Mods folder, inside the game folder.
- Optional: for Spanish alerts, download 'Stardew Valley Notifications Spanish' by NebulosoCat on Nexus and follow its instructions.
- Launch the game with SMAPI and load your save: the relevant alerts should appear when the day starts.

Common problems
Can I change the time of the birthday reminder?
Yes, in config.json; by default it's at 5:00 PM.
Is it a reupload?
No: it's maintained by Sakorona, with credit to the original author (monopandora) and under the original's MIT license.
Is it available in Spanish?
There's a separate translation by NebulosoCat on Nexus.
