What this mod does
Mobile Phone, by aedenthorn, puts a mobile phone in the farmer’s hands. You open it with the End key (or an optional on-screen icon), and you can rotate it, move it and customize it with backgrounds, cases and ringtones.
What you can do
- Call villagers you’re friendly enough with (four hearts by default) to chat once a day, ask where they are or replay events you’ve already seen.
- Ask Robin to build or upgrade buildings over the phone.
- Receive calls: by default there’s a 1% chance every ten in-game minutes, never in the mines or after midnight.
- Use apps from other mods, like To-Dew, and theme packs made with Content Patcher.
Compatibility
It needs SMAPI; Generic Mod Config Menu is optional. The page marks it as compatible with 1.6 and with Android, and it was updated for 1.6 in version 3.3.2. It includes replayable events from Stardew Valley Expanded and is compatible with HD Portraits and NPC Adventures. Character mods can add their own phone data.
There’s a separate Spanish translation on Nexus by Juanpa98ar, marked for 1.6. The page doesn’t mention multiplayer.

Requirements
- Stardew Valley 1.6.x (PC; tagged as Android-compatible)
- SMAPI 4.x
- Optional: Generic Mod Config Menu
How to install it
- Install SMAPI first (see its mod page) and launch the game with it once to make sure it works.
- Open the Mobile Phone page on Nexus Mods, go to the Files tab and click Manual download on the main file (Mobile Phone 3.4.2). You need a free Nexus account to download.
- Unzip the .zip outside the game folder and move the resulting folder into the Mods folder, inside the game folder.
- Optional: download 'Mobile Phone - (Spanish) (1.6)' by Juanpa98ar on Nexus to play it in Spanish, and grab the apps under Optional files only if you use the mod each one is for.
- Launch the game with SMAPI, load your save and press End to open the phone; Page Down rotates it.

Common problems
Who can I call?
Villagers you're friendly enough with: 1000 points (four hearts) by default, configurable with MinPointsToCall.
Can I turn off incoming calls?
Yes, there's a config option for it, plus lists of blocked or allowed villagers.
Is it available in Spanish?
There's a separate translation by Juanpa98ar on Nexus, marked for 1.6.
