What this mod does
Infinite Zoom breaks Stardew Valley’s zoom limits. The game only lets you zoom the camera in or out between 75% and 200%, and the same goes for UI scale; with this mod the range becomes 25% to 250%.
What it’s for
- Zooming the camera out to see your whole farm while you plan crops, sprinklers or buildings.
- Zooming in to take close-up screenshots or play comfortably on small monitors.
- Adjusting UI scale on 4K or ultrawide screens.
You use it through the game’s regular zoom and UI options. If you want to go further, the optional ChunkyZoom file extends the range from 5% to 10,000%; it replaces the main mod, so you shouldn’t install both at once.
Compatibility
The 1.1.0 file (March 21, 2024, 12 KB) is updated for Stardew Valley 1.6 or later and SMAPI 4.0 or later. According to the page it works with existing saves and in single-player and multiplayer, and the description says it was still working in March 2026. Zooming far out can cost performance on large farms. It pairs well with Data Layers to check watering and coverage across the whole farm at a glance. It’s open source (AGPL v3).

Requirements
- Stardew Valley 1.6 or later (PC)
- SMAPI 4.0 or later
How to install it
- Install SMAPI first (see its mod page) and launch the game once with it to make sure it works.
- Open the Infinite Zoom page on Nexus Mods, go to the Files tab and click Manual download on the main file (InfiniteZoom_v1.1). You need a free Nexus account to download.
- Extract the .zip outside the game folder and move the resulting folder into the Mods folder, inside the game folder.
- If you'd rather have the extreme range, download ChunkyZoom_v1.1 from Optional files instead; don't install both at once.
- Launch the game with SMAPI, open Options and move the zoom or UI scale slider: you can now go below 75% or above 200%.
