What this mod does
Bush Bloom Mod, by ncarigon, expands what the valley’s large bushes can do. In the base game they only give blackberries in fall and salmonberries in spring; this mod lets you define new blooms with their own dates, locations and fruit.
What it does
- Includes a default bloom you can turn on in the settings, with options such as using the spring bush in summer or a custom berry in winter.
- It’s also a small framework: other mods can add bloom schedules by season, days, years, locations, specific tiles or weather, with their own textures and chances.
- Content packs can be loaded with Content Patcher, and the page includes examples and documentation.
Requirements and compatibility
It needs SMAPI; Generic Mod Config Menu is optional for changing the options in-game. The download is version 1.2.4 (April 17, 2024, 31 KB) and is tagged as compatible with 1.6, which the author had already adapted it to in the 1.1 series.
The old integrations with Deluxe Grabber Redux, Almanac and Automate are disabled or removed, so those mods won’t collect these berries. The page doesn’t mention multiplayer, Android or translations.

Common problems
Does it do anything on its own or does it need other mods?
It comes with a configurable default bloom, but it's mostly used as a base for other authors' content packs.
Does Automate collect the berries?
No. The page says the integrations with Automate and other collectors are disabled or removed.
Should I install the test file?
No. The 1.1.8-test file in Optional files is a test build the author doesn't recommend for general use.
