What this mod does
mono’s Portraits is a redraw of the villager portraits by monoSDE at the same scale as the originals. The idea is to give them a style of their own without straying too far from the look you already know, so it fits in well with the rest of the game’s art.
What’s included
- Portraits for every villager and marriage candidate in the base game.
- The winter outfits added in 1.6.
- JojaMart portraits for Shane and Sam (0.95) and Demetrius’s protective suit (0.91).
- Version 0.96 fixes Penny’s surprised portrait.
Requirements and compatibility
It works with SMAPI and Content Patcher, so it doesn’t touch the game files and you remove it by deleting its folder. File 0.96 (March 17, 2026, 1.1 MB) states that it supports 1.6 or later, and the page marks it as Android compatible.
It conflicts with other mods that change the same portraits: use only one at a time or choose which one loads last. The page doesn’t mention characters from Stardew Valley Expanded or other expansions, which would keep their own portraits. The author asks for feedback if any expression doesn’t fit a scene. It has no text to translate.
