GIANTS doesn’t publish how much space it takes with all the DLC, and mods can add a lot: a single map like The Mechet is 1.4 GB.

How much space it takes with DLC
Steam lists 15 DLC for FS25. The small machinery packs list just 50 MB, but GIANTS doesn’t give a total with everything installed. On PC, you can see the real figure in Steam under Properties, Installed Files; on console, in storage management.
How much space Farming Simulator 25 mods take up
Maps are the biggest files: almost all the large ones are between 500 MB and 1.4 GB. A building or a placeable object usually stays at a few MB. Examples with the size from their Holymod page:

With four or five maps downloaded, you’re already past 5 GB of mods. You’ll find more in Farming Simulator 25 maps. On console, the space for ModHub mods is limited and GIANTS doesn’t publish the figure: if a mod won’t download, delete the ones you don’t use.
SSD or hard drive?
The storage line on Steam doesn’t require an SSD. On PC, an SSD cuts savegame loading times a lot, especially on large maps with many production chains. On PS5 and Xbox Series, the game always runs from fast storage.
Where mods and savegames are stored
- Mods (including ModHub ones): Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2025\mods. Leave them as .zip files, without unzipping.
- Savegames: savegame1, savegame2… folders in Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2025.
- Error log: Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2025\log.txt.
How to free up space
- Delete the maps you don’t play from the mods folder: they’re the largest files.
- Before removing a mod you use in a savegame, back up the savegame folder: that mod’s objects will disappear from your farm.
- On console, go to ModHub, open the downloaded section and delete the ones you don’t use.
