No, Farming Simulator 25 isn’t free. As of October 23, 2026 it costs €29.99 on Steam Spain (Mex$ 489 on Steam Mexico) and €39.99 on PlayStation Store Spain for PS5. Editions that include an expansion go up to €59.99–69.99 on console. The only legal way to play without buying it is to have it included in a subscription: it’s on PS Plus Extra and Xbox Game Pass (Premium, PC and Ultimate). Prices change with sales.

Steam also has bundles (Highlands Fishing Edition, Beans & Alpacas Edition, Year 1 Bundle) that apply a bundle discount on the price of their parts. To play online you need the same DLC as the host.
Has it ever been free?
There’s no record of an official Farming Simulator 25 giveaway on the Epic Games Store or Steam. The closest thing to «free» is playing it through a subscription: PS Plus Extra on PS5 and Game Pass on Xbox Series X|S and PC, according to the PlayStation and Xbox stores as of today. If you cancel your subscription or the game leaves the catalog, you can no longer play it. There’s no official demo on Steam either.
Its predecessor, Farming Simulator 22, was given away on the Epic Games Store from May 23 to 30, 2024.
Watch out for «free downloads»
Sites offering «Farming Simulator 25 free» or «full PC» distribute pirated copies: downloading them infringes GIANTS Software’s rights and is a common route for malware. On top of that, a copy like that doesn’t get official patches, can’t access the ModHub and won’t work for crossplay multiplayer. We don’t link to any of them.
What is free: mods
All mods on the official GIANTS ModHub are free, on PC as well as PS5, Xbox and Switch 2, and almost all the mods on Holymod’s mod pages are free too.
