Farming Simulator 25 multiplayer: yes, as of October 23, 2026 the game has online co-op with crossplay across PC, Mac, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. On console, sessions support up to 6 players online and you need PS Plus or Game Pass Essential or higher. On a GPORTAL dedicated server, GIANTS’ partner for FS25 servers, up to 16 people can play at once, from any platform. The Switch 2 edition has no multiplayer. To play together, everyone needs the same DLC and mods as the host.

How to play with friends
The mode is co-op: everyone works the same farm or, if the host sets it up that way, each player runs their own farm on the same map. There are two ways to play.
- Player-hosted session. One player creates the session from the Multiplayer menu and the others join from the session list. If the host leaves, the session ends.
- Dedicated server. It’s always on even when nobody’s playing, and it’s what group farms and communities use.
If you have trouble connecting, the GIANTS support website has a «Multiplayer / Connection» category where you can open a ticket.
Crossplay between PC, PS5 and Xbox
PC, Mac, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players can all join the same session. Xbox lists it as «Xbox cross-platform multiplayer», and GPORTAL confirms its servers support players from all three platforms. If you don’t want crossplay, you can filter the server list or turn it off in the PlayStation or Xbox settings. The Switch 2 version isn’t part of crossplay.
Mods in multiplayer: PC versus console
The host or server decides which mods are used. When you join, the game tells you which ones you’re missing and, if they’re from the ModHub, usually lets you download them. Everyone must have the same version of each mod. If they don’t match, you won’t be able to join.
- On PC you can play with ModHub mods and with external mods you download from their author’s website. Some maps have a multiplayer variant, like Geistal, and some vehicles make the most of the mode, like the Lizard Road Rage, with a passenger seat.
- On console there are only mods from the console ModHub, and GIANTS doesn’t allow mods with scripts. That’s why, if a PC server uses CoursePlay, AutoDrive or Universal Autoload (PC and Mac only), PS5 and Xbox players won’t be able to join.
If your group mixes PC and console, the simplest option is to use only ModHub mods that are also available on console.
Official dedicated servers
GIANTS chose GPORTAL again for FS25 servers (announced on September 10, 2024). Up to 16 people can play at once on its servers if you rent 16 slots, no matter which platform each one is on. Mods are uploaded to the server’s mods folder following the provider’s instructions. Pricing and slots are set by GPORTAL and may change.
