Mods compatible with ATS 1.60

Version 1.60 of American Truck Simulator was released on June 16, 2026, and was the stable version until 1.61 (September 15, 2026). According to the SCS Software blog, it brought:Company paint jobs for the player and TourAmerica paint jobs for Kenworth.An improved material system and lighting tweaks.Game Radio, the in-game radio, with five stations.A job details widget and an expanded rest mechanic.The current version is now 1.61, and 1.62 has been in open beta since October 20, 2026. How to play ATS 1.60 on Steam

If your mods don't work on the latest version yet, SCS Software keeps previous game versions on Steam so you can keep using them. No password needed.

  1. In your Steam Library, right-click American Truck Simulator and open Properties.
  2. Open the Betas tab and pick temporary_1_60 from the drop-down (it shows as “1.60.x for incompatible mods”). If you can't see it, restart Steam.
  3. Wait for Steam to download that version and open the game.

Before switching versions

  • Back up your profiles (the Documents/American Truck Simulator/profiles folder, or steam_profiles if you use Steam Cloud): a save made on a newer version may not load on an older one.
  • Steam Workshop mods always download in their latest version. They'll only work on 1.60 if their author includes a package for that version; if not, download the older file by hand from the official source listed on each mod page.
  • DLC released after 1.60 may not work on that version.
  • This option only exists in the Steam version of the game.
