ATS trailer mods

Here are 9 mods for American Truck Simulator trailers: trailers you can buy, double and triple box trailer setups, lowboys with more capacity, dump trains, and cargo and container packs for the freight market. Almost all are free and most work on 1.61, the stable version; 1.62 is in open beta.

The best ATS trailer mods to start with

• Traffic Trailer Mega Pack: about 500 trailers with real company liveries that drive around in traffic and show up as cargo. Updated for 1.61.
• B-Double/Triple SCS Box Trailers: 84 B-Double and B-Triple combinations with SCS's dry, insulated and refrigerated vans, plus 15 new trailers at the dealer. For 1.58 or later.
• Trail King Schnabel: a trailer for oversize loads with several axle configurations. Updated for 1.61.
• Expanded Lowboy Weight Capacity: the SCS lowboy goes from 30 to 35 tons in tandem and from 40 to 55 in tridem, with heavier cargo on the market.
• Side dumper trains: side dump trains of 3 to 6 trailers with no state restrictions. Works on TruckersMP.
• USA Trailer Pack by Jon Ruda: six buyable trailers (reefer, hopper, flatbed, livestock, gondola and tanker). Paid, $35, for 1.58 through 1.61.
• Arnook's Container Pack - ATS Edition: more than 300 container liveries from 20 to 53 feet, on the market, on your trailers and in traffic. Marked for 1.58.

What to keep in mind

• Buyable, cargo or traffic: buyable trailers show up at the dealer; cargo packs, like Lore Friendly Cargo Pack or Military Cargo Pack, add jobs to the freight market.
• Weight: in dump trains, cargo weight is capped at that of a single trailer; the expanded lowboy does raise the actual capacity.
• Mexican traffic: Castores, Lala or Soriana trailers are in the Mexican Traffic Trailer Pack, in the traffic category.
• Installation: subscribe on Steam Workshop or copy the file into DocumentsAmerican Truck Simulatormod and activate it in your profile's Mod Manager. In Convoy, everyone needs the same mods.
