ETS2 1.58 mods
ETS2 1.58 came out on February 12, 2026. It revised driving physics (throttle response, hill start assist), added a Driving Academy module for driving with double trailers, replaced the Route Advisor with customizable widgets and refreshed the Renault Trucks T.
Skins abound: Spanish transport company packs by Johnny_Berm and Hüner Global Lojistik. There are also trucks and parts (vad&k's DAF XF 105, low deck chassis for Renault and Iveco), Kögel and Schmitz trailers, and maps like SFIGC, The Cold North or Niedersachsenmap. Keep in mind that maps and complex trucks usually need the exact version; skins and sounds often work even if the Mod Manager shows a warning.

How to play ETS2 1.58 on Steam
If your mods don't work on the latest version yet, SCS Software keeps previous game versions on Steam so you can keep using them. No password needed.
- In your Steam Library, right-click Euro Truck Simulator 2 and open Properties.
- Open the Betas tab and pick
temporary_1_58from the drop-down (it shows as “1.58.x for incompatible mods”). If you can't see it, restart Steam. - Wait for Steam to download that version and open the game.
Before switching versions
- Back up your profiles (the
Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/profilesfolder, orsteam_profilesif you use Steam Cloud): a save made on a newer version may not load on an older one. - Steam Workshop mods always download in their latest version. They'll only work on 1.58 if their author includes a package for that version; if not, download the older file by hand from the official source listed on each mod page.
- DLC released after 1.58 may not work on that version.
- This option only exists in the Steam version of the game.
