Hytale skin mods

Here are 17 mods that add skins to Hytale: armor and weapons with a new look, cosmetics for your character, creature masks and thousands of fur and feather variants for animals and monsters. They all link to the author's official download. Most are marked for 0.6 or Update 6, and Hytale is on 0.7.3 (Update 7), with Update 8 in pre-release, so check the version on each mod page.

The best Hytale skin mods to start with

• Wardrobe: a cosmetics system that adds hairstyles, clothing, accessories and models without taking up armor slots. It doesn't include any cosmetics on its own: it needs compatible packs.
• HayHay's Mob Cosmetics: more than 200 cosmetics inspired by Hytale creatures, such as mob heads, horns, ears, hairstyles, clothing and capes. Requires Wardrobe.
• HayHay's Animal Masks: 21 animal and creature masks crafted at the armorer's bench, with small buffs. Version 2.0.4 for 0.6.3 and later.
• Fantastic Knight Armor Pack: seven knight armor sets that can't be crafted: you find them in fortresses, tombs and shrines, or buy them from collectors.
• Echoes of the Raven Plague Doctor: a plague doctor set with a raven mask, at adamantite tier, and a spellbook that summons ravens. Version 1.5.4 for 0.6.
• Sapphire Armor & Weapons: a full sapphire armor set and 15 sapphire weapons at adamantite tier, crafted at the Crystal Workbench and with no dependencies.
• Celly's Beast Skins: thousands of appearance variants for foxes, wolves, hyenas, spiders, scorpions, crocodiles and bears. Version 1.0.3 for 0.6.
• Aures Livestock Skins: more than 150 random patterns for nine farm animals, without touching models or behavior.

What kind of skin are you looking for?

• For your character: your avatar's look is customized in the game itself, and Wardrobe expands the catalog with pieces that don't take up armor slots. Install it before its packs, such as HayHay's Mob Cosmetics.
• Armor and weapons: Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire Armor & Weapons aren't just a visual change: they add new adamantite-tier gear with their own recipes. Outlanders Armor Pack gives cobalt armor a different look, and its recipes are dropped by the Outlanders themselves.
• Animals: Celly's packs add random variants to wildlife, and Aures's packs do the same for horses and livestock. Keep in mind that Celly's Wildlife Skins needs four other packs from Celly's collection.
