ETS2 physics mods

Here are 5 mods for physics in Euro Truck Simulator 2: mods that change how the chassis, suspension and cab of every truck move, and others that rebuild engines and gearboxes with real-world data. Each mod page links to the official download and lists its compatible version; the current version is 1.61 (1.62 is in open beta) and not every mod in this section is marked for it.

The ETS2 physics mods

• Ultra Realistic Truck Physics & Cabin Motion: Kass's mod rebuilds suspension, chassis and cab movement, with pronounced weight transfer and less grip in the wet. Version 3.0 for 1.61, designed for keyboard, controller and wheel.
• Improved Suspension: retunes the suspension, cab, tires, brakes and transmission of all trucks. Version 1.9 for 1.60, with recommended game and wheel settings.
• Volvo Drivetrain Revision: D13, D16 and D17 engines and I-Shift and VT gearboxes with real names and ratios for the Volvo FH. Version 2.21, marked for 1.59.
• Renault Drivetrain Revision: DXi, DTI and DE 13 Turbo Compound engines and Optidriver, ZF Ecosplit and B14 gearboxes for the Renaults. Version 1.18 from May 2026.

How to combine them

• Only one general physics mod: Ultra Realistic and Improved Suspension touch the same things, so if you activate both, only the one higher up in the Mod Manager takes effect.
• The Drivetrain Revisions are something else: they only change engines and gearboxes for their brand, not the suspension.
