BeamNG truck mods
Here are 13 mods that add trucks to BeamNG.drive: on-road and off-road trucks, buses, a forklift, a car-hauler trailer and even locomotives. They're all free to download from the official BeamNG Repository or the author's forum, and each mod page links only to that source. An honest heads-up: 0.40 came out on October 19, 2026 and none of these mods confirms that version yet; the most recent ones are tested on 0.39 and some haven't been updated in years. On each mod page you'll see the latest version its author declares.
The best BeamNG truck mods to start with
- Vintage T-Series: the classic T-Series with a sleeper, over 20 configurations, a working winch and five engines, V12 included. Updated in September 2026.
- Cherrier/Wentward Potent Lite: a '90s European cab-over truck, in 4x2 and 6x4, with Career mode support. Its version 1.5.2 already updates the gauges for 0.39.
- IYB B-Series Off-Road Semi: an off-road semi tractor with 13 configurations, 12 engines and 10 gearboxes in its free version.
- Gavril MT-Series: the late-'80s T-Series with new cabs and 10- and 18-speed gearboxes. Requires the Truck Wheel Mod.
- Capsule: a single- or double-decker city bus, from 10.5 to 19.5 meters, articulated version included. For 0.39.
- MD-Series MDC Bus: a 9- and 11-meter bus based on the Gavril MD, with school bus and prison bus versions.
- DMM512 Diesel-Locomotive: a fully destructible diesel locomotive with seven paint jobs. Like all trains, it needs a map with tracks.
What to keep in mind
- Version: when you update to 0.40, BeamNG disables your mods. Re-enable them one at a time or in small groups and check that they load.
- Dependencies: some trucks require another mod, like the Truck Wheel Mod for the Gavril MT-Series. The mod page says so.
- Performance: a truck with lots of detachable parts, like the CrashHard 8x8 BigRig Truck, is very demanding on your CPU, especially with traffic.
- Trains: the locomotives and the Tanker Wagon only make sense on maps with railroad tracks.
- Trailers: the Grant Gooseneck hitches to pickups or semi tractors and is widely used in Career mode.
0.40 also brings a new official truck, the Cherrier Percheron, and there are already mods for it, like the Bar-Grip tires or the OpenPipe exhaust. If you want more vehicles, check out the car mods and the parts mods. To install them, follow the guide how to install mods in BeamNG.drive, and if your PC is on the edge, check the BeamNG.drive system requirements.
