Assetto Corsa EVO multiplayer: servers, online and leagues

Assetto Corsa EVO multiplayer: public servers, daily races, a free dedicated server, server rental, mod cars online and tools for leagues.

Updated: 26 Oct 2026

Assetto Corsa EVO multiplayer works on PC and is free with the game: from the Multiplayer menu you join official public servers open 24/7, on the official acevo.gg portal you get daily races and league events, and since version 0.6 you can run your own dedicated server at no cost with the official Steam tool (or rent one). Since 0.8 servers support community cars, and since 0.9 there are mandatory pit stops in online races. Here we explain each option and the community tools for managing servers and leagues.

Data as of October 22, 2026, with EVO in Early Access (version 0.9). If you’re coming from the first game, the Assetto Corsa servers guide makes a good comparison: there, everything goes through Content Manager and the classic server; in EVO the system is new.

How online play arrived in EVO

Version Date Online feature
0.3 9-25-2025 First multiplayer: free public servers, 24/7, with up to 16 drivers
0.6 4-15-2026 Your own dedicated servers (Steam tool) and netcode improvements
0.8 7-8-2026 Community cars online, SHA car verification and entry lists
0.9 8-26-2026 Mandatory pit stops in multiplayer and Special Events with worldwide leaderboards
0.10 12-9-2026 Eifel Free Roam, with single-player and multiplayer according to the specialist press

The details for each version are in the Assetto Corsa EVO roadmap.

Official online modes

Public servers

They’re the fastest way to play online. They show up in the Multiplayer section of the main menu, are free and open 24/7, with different combinations of cars, tracks and weather. When they debuted in 0.3 they supported up to 16 drivers per race, and Kunos announced it would expand the slots later on.

Daily Racing on acevo.gg

acevo.gg is EVO’s official racing portal, built with SimGrid. You link your Steam account and sign up for free daily races that repeat every so often, each with its own practice, qualifying and race, its track, weather, pit stop rules and car class. For example, there have been street car series at the Red Bull Ring and Mazda MX-5 Cup series at Monza. Each event shows schedules, results and standings.

The portal presents itself as ranked racing («ranked»), but it doesn’t publicly explain how driver ratings are calculated, so we can’t go into detail.

Community events and leagues

The same portal has a section for events organized by leagues and communities, with the number of rounds, format and extras like live stewards or broadcasts. It’s the place to look for championships if you don’t want to run your own.

Special Events: compete without sharing the track

They arrived with 0.9. Each event locks in the car, track, conditions and time of day so everyone competes on equal terms, and results go to a worldwide leaderboard. There are two formats: Hotlap (one lap) and Hotstint (a full stint). You can pick drivers near you on the leaderboard and race against their delta, and in some events the number of attempts is limited.

Mandatory pit stops

Since 0.9, timed online races longer than 20 minutes include a mandatory pit stop. Tire wear, fuel consumption and the pit window all factor into strategy, and from the MFD you choose compound, pressures and fuel during the race. For now it’s a multiplayer-only feature.

Private servers: rent one or run your own

Renting an official server

Kunos authorizes a server rental service linked from acevo.gg. It’s run by DaiKo Lab, a Swiss company associated with the S.I.A.T.I. institute, which worked with Kunos on multiplayer. As of October 22, 2026 it advertises plans at 5 € for 7 days and 15 € for 30 days (Swiss VAT included), with discounts for longer periods, 14 regions (including Milan, Frankfurt, London, Miami and São Paulo), a web panel and automatic updates. Its website says it doesn’t support mods on rented servers yet, so to use community cars you’ll need your own dedicated server.

Running your own dedicated server

Since 0.6 there’s the free Assetto Corsa EVO Dedicated Server tool. According to the official 505 Games guide:

  1. You need to own Assetto Corsa EVO; that’s the only way the tool shows up in your Steam library. Turn on the «Tools» filter to see it.
  2. Install and open it. All configuration is done in its graphical launcher: server name, ports, max players, passwords, track, grip, weather, cars (with performance index and balance of performance), session length, time of day and time multiplier.
  3. Open the ports you use on your router. By default they’re 9700 TCP and UDP for the game and 8081 TCP for HTTP. They must point to the local IP of the PC acting as the server.
  4. Allow the server executable through Windows Firewall. It’s the most common reason a server doesn’t show up.
  5. Save the profile and start it. Players find it by searching for its name in the in-game server browser.

There are two passwords: the driver password, for private races, and the admin password, for managing the server while you drive. You choose the number of slots; the official guide recommends matching it to your hardware and your connection.

Mod cars in multiplayer

Since 0.8, cars made with the official car editor (SDK) can be used online on servers that have them installed. Servers use a SHA check to confirm that each car on the grid is what it claims to be. Keep in mind:

  • Every driver needs the same version of the car as the server.
  • Cars exported before 0.8.1 need to be re-exported to pass the checks. That’s why a car like the GD808 FormulaCOUPE, released in July 2026, may not work online.
  • Mods that modify the game’s content package don’t work online. The Ferrari 296 GTB eDrive, for example, asks you at launch whether you want eDrive mode (single-player only) or the stock car (multiplayer), because servers reject modified files.

A good example of community content built for online play is HDC The Yard Drift Park: it supports 12 slots, has a public server called «Ronin Hina Drift Club» and includes an installer to set up the track and the Hina’s Drift Club cars on your own dedicated server.

Liveries made with the official external livery system do show up online. LiveryLab Evo uses it in its official mode, which is multiplayer-compatible, and lets you prepare livery packs for leagues.

Community tools for servers and leagues

ACE Manager

ACE Manager is a free web panel for race organizers. It controls several dedicated servers from the browser, schedules races and championships with automatic standings, reverse grids and sign-ups, shows live timing with sectors and a map, installs mod cars on the server and posts announcements and results to Discord. It runs on Windows and Linux (where the game server runs under Wine) and needs Node.js. If you just want to join sessions, the same author has ACE Manager Quick Join for finding servers.

EVO Web Server Manager

EVO Web Server Manager is another open-source (MIT) web interface for creating and managing several servers: track, cars, weather, grip and sessions, full race weekends with mandatory pit stops and refueling, server cloning with independent ports and automatic restart if one goes down. Version 1.5.0 separates the panel from the engine, so closing the panel no longer stops the servers, and it can run as a Windows service.

ACE Results Companion

ACE Results Companion saves your results, laps and records per car, logs penalties and incidents, calculates fuel and adds on-screen widgets. Very handy for leagues, although its author considers it a beta because EVO doesn’t share all the data it needs yet.

On-track aids that work online

Differences from online play in the original Assetto Corsa

In the original AC the dedicated server uses port 9600 by default and is configured by editing files; players usually join through Content Manager, which downloads any missing content. There are lots of modded servers and apps like Real Penalty for race direction or Helicorsa as a radar. In EVO the server uses 9700, is configured with a graphical launcher, mod cars are verified with SHA and the official daily racing portal is integrated with Steam. Public servers debuted with 16 drivers per race. On your own dedicated server you choose the maximum number of slots based on your hardware and connection.
